Several installation suggestions, with measuring instructions, are listed below. These are by no means the only way to use these products - simply the most common ways. Your application may require a combination of methods or other methods not detailed.

Hardware Usage...

If your intention is to mount your screens for seasonal usage (off season removal) consider using one, or a combination, of our mounting hardware choices instead of a semi-permanent installation. This should make seasonal close up easier for you.

Hardware usage is not recommended for year round installations unless you have installed a sufficient amount of hardware to withstand off season conditions.

Simplicity Porch Screens

Budget minded consumers, contractors, and DIYer's will find our Simplicity^TM line to be an excellent choice for a Porch Screen projects as well a wide range of other screening applications. Simplicity^TM offers very good quality at very reasonable prices. Screen panels are available fully manufactured to your specifications or in raw form for home or job site fabrication. Simplicity^TM porch screens are an excellent choice for triangles, trapezoids and other odd shapes. Matching PVC inserts, for off season winterization, are also available.

Simplicity^TM porch screens are availability in 4 painted finishes and are supplied standard with square cut color matching corners. Screen panels under 48" in a single dimension are supplied standard with (Clear Advantage) 20x20 .008g charcoal fiberglass screen material. Screen panels with a single dimension over 48" are supplied standard with 18x14 .013g charcoal fiberglass screen material.

Screen Panels...

The maximum recommended manufacture size for Simplicity^TM screen panels is 156 UI. The closer you are to (and the more you exceed) the maximum recommended UI size the more flexible the frame will be. The larger the panel is, the more secure the instillation must be.

Support bars add more points of contact for the assembled frame and are recommended in any screen panel with a height or width over 48". Support bars for Simplicity^TM porch screens are structural - this results in a substantially sturdier frame. Failure to use bars as recommended may result in an hour glass effect, loose screen material, or blow outs.

PVC Panels...

Simplicity^TM polyvinylchloride inserts are an economical choice for off season protection. Simply order, or make, a second set of frames with our PVC installed in place of screen material. Our PVC is a durable double polished, UV stabilized, material that will withstand the elements and resists scratching. It is easily installed and is a far more economical choice when compared to tempered glass or polycarbonate inserts. Simplicity^TM PVC inserts also weight less than glass inserts, can be stored flat, stacked, or on their side, and can withstand serious abuse without being damaged. DIY ...

Home manufacture of Simplicity^TM porch screens should not be challenging for those with at least some mechanical skills. Contractors and DIYer's will find job site or home manufacture is a snap with Simplicity^TM porch screen materials. No special tools are

required. You need PVC panels also ? Not a problem, simply cut a second set of frames and spline in the PVC in the exact same fashion as insect screen material - except slightly looser - to allow for slight vinyl shrinkage during cold weather. It's that simple.
