Inserts...

Connecticut Screen Works Screen Wall System^® extrusions are designed to accept our manufactured Acrylic or Tempered Glass inserts or almost any aftermarket winterization insert. Rest assured, if you desire the option of installing glass or polycarbonate panels for the off season you'll be able to do just that with our Screen Wall System.

In all photos shown above, the perspective is from the inside looking outward. Inserts are always installed from the interior.

(Shown Left) Cut away view of a standard Acrylic insert panel. Extruded C-Sash with vinyl glazing and pile weather seal. Acrylic sheet is 1/8" thick and Standard Tempered is 1/8" or 3/16" thick based upon insert size.

Notes...

Remember, inserts can be installed at any time - Right away or years later. You should consider the following if considering inserts:

Maximum size Tempered Glass insert: 35" x 96".
Maximum size Acrylic insert: 72" x 96".
Larger inserts may be available from aftermarket sources.
Installation hardware can be installed at anytime. You may have it installed at the factory when your Screen Wall panels are manufactured or you may install yourself at a later date.
If you use an aftermarket manufactured inserts, we recommend that you use only 3/8" extruded c-sash commercial dead lite panels w/t a pile weather seal (see 3 photos below). These are normally available from any commercial glass shop. You may use other extrusions such as a 7/16" c-sash - but special sized retainer clips will be required.

Other Uses...

Inserts need not only be glass. Shown here, our Master Frame is used as the permanently mounted frame and the insert used is a screen insert. In this application, the screens need to be removed on a regular basis for cleaning. By using the set up shown, our customer can easily perform weekly required cleaning.
