Angle Stop Mount...

MOUNTING LOCATION: Inside of Opening

CAN INSERTS BE USED: Yes

The ANGLE STOP MOUNT is probably the best all around installation method provided your openings are true.  It can be used with both Panels and Walls with little trouble in most cases. This is one of the preferred methods of installation whether or not you plan to utilize inserts. Complete installation can be performed from the interior.

This method entails the installation of our color matching Angle Stop on the exterior edge of all sides of each structure opening. Screen Panels or Walls are sized to fit behind the Angle Stop and the entire unit is held in place with the installation of our color matching Interior Stop. Interior Stop should be installed with the 5/8" side firmly installed against the screen frame.

MAJOR RESTRICTIONS & NOTES:
It is highly recommended that sufficient help is available during installation to lift and hold Panel(s) or Wall(s) in place until they can be fully mounted to structure. If your opening requires the installation of more than 1 panel into the opening "R" CHANNELS would be used to cover all panel seams.  See "R" CHANNEL INSTRUCTIONS for details.

Measuring...

Measuring for the angle stop mount is extremely simple.

  • 1) Measure each opening height and width. Measure in several locations (top, middle, bottom, left side, center, right side, etc.) and record all measurements taken. (To help, you may find it better to draw out each opening and note the measurements and locations taken)
  • 2) The maximum difference between the widest and smallest width obtained in your opening cannot be more than 1/4".  This is true for the height measurements also. If you are out by over 1/4" you will need to modify your openings to correct this prior to measuring any further.
  • 3) Provided your openings are within the maximum standard noted in #2 above, subtract 1/2" from the smallest width and smallest height obtained in each opening.
  • 4) The resulting sizes would be your true manufacture size for each panel or wall being ordered.

Plan carefully if you modify this installation since very little room for error exists.
