Determining Mount...

All doors must be ordered either as a "INTERIOR" mount or as a "FACE" mount. Mount styles cannot be combined or modified. Pay particular attention to the measuring locations noted.

The detail at left shows several views of a "INTERIOR" mount door. NOTE: the term interior refers to the self storing screen being mounted inside of the doors casing or molding NOT inside of the building.

The detail at left shows several views of a "FACE" mount door. Note that "face" mount doors mount over the opening and cover all four sides of the opening. Ordering size, as show, INCLUDES the mounting flanges on all sides.

Handing...

All doors must be ordered with a "Handing" code. This code details the pull of the self storing screen when viewed from the inside looking outward. The viewing perspective is the same no matter how or where the self storing screen is to be installed. "Mount" and "Handing" are independent of each other.

Installation Hints...

- Test fit housing and all parts prior to beginning any installation.

- Spray dry silicon on top and base track occasionally to keep the unit sliding freely.

- Keep tracks free of dust and dirt.

- Do not let the screen fly back uncontrolled - damage will occur.

Self Storing Screens for Doors

Self storing door screens are designed to disappear when not in use. They offer an unobstructed view and allow for full ventilation when used and when retracted into the side housing(s) your door will present a clean look that is almost impossible to obtain with a storm or screen door. When retracted into the side housing(s), the units are almost impossible to notice. They are long lasting, easy to use, require almost no maintenance, and most of all they are a snap to measure and install.

(Far left: No screen installed, Near left: Screen installed and retracted into housing) These units are custom made to order and will fit almost every style of door available today. They can be used with inswinging or outswinging single and double (French style) doors. They can also be used on porches, boats, mobile homes.....in fact, you are limited only by the maximum available size and your imagination and ingenuity. They can be mounted inside of the door casing or over the face of the doorway. For problem free operation, these units must be installed square, plumb, and level.

Fully extruded aluminum construction with your choice of 6 finishes. Doors are supplied with 18x14 .013g charcoal fiberglass (stiff) material as well as operating pulls. You may select either a magnetic latch (2 photos left below) or a positive lock/latch (2 photos right below).

Please pay particular attention to the terminology used. Measuring is different for each of the two mounts offered and units cannot be re-manufactured if mount is ordered incorrectly.

How to Measure...

Two measurements are required to order these items. Measure width (W) in several locations - top, middle and bottom. Measure the height (H) on the right side, left side and middle. Your measurements may vary from side to side (width) and from top to bottom (height). Use the smallest measurements obtained to the nearest 1/16". Screens are manufactured to your supplied dimensions - we will make no alterations to supplied measurements. The size you submit will be the size of the unit you will receive. (Standard manufacture tolerance is +0" to - 1/16") Consult mount details in upper left column for important information about measuring.
